MODIS BRDF/Albedo Products
Level 3, 16-day, one kilometer MODIS BRDF/Albedo Products
are now being routinely made using surface reflectances from
both the Terra and Aqua satellite platforms. The availability
of directional observations from both the morning and afternoon overpasses can significantly improve the quality of the BRDF model
retrieved - as demonstrated below by the first operational Aqua+Terra MODIS
BRDF/Albedo
Shortwave White-Sky Albedo Product (MCD43B3)
of the continental United States produced for the period June 10-25, 2003 (Day
2003161).
