Workshop Goals
- Expand dialog and understanding between the field
measurement community and the satellite product
community
- Identify key challenges to effective and efficient albedo
satellite product validation
- Develop a consensus research agenda to address challenges
- Attempt to organize some community activities (e.g., common
data staging, intercomparisons, develop plans for a "consensus best
practices" document)
The LPV workshop on Albedo was held in a small focused round
table format.
This workshop began Tuesday afternoon, 22 October, 2002
with a Poster Session on Land Product Validation and Utilization
which was held jointly with the
MODIS Workshop on Land Surface Radiation Budget Variables
and Snow and Ice Products which
took place immediately preceeding this workshop at Boston University
on October 21-22, 2002.
